Job Description:
Designation :Deputy Manager – Medical Coding
Purpose of Job
This process works on assigning appropriate codes against the diagnosis, procedures, supplies and tests as mentioned in charts received from hospitals. The associate need to assign correct ICD, CPT and supply codes.
Job Responsibilities
-Manage a team of 50+ medical coders.
-Ensure the TAT and SLA compliance with quality of each coding parameter being >= 95% and team utilization > 90%
-Thorough understanding of DNFB/ DNFC/ TAT requirements and billing errors and its effects.
-Find areas of improvement for process as well as team members. Prepare a plan and execute them.
-Responsible for development as well as succession planning of team members
-All process related reporting
-Maintain good relationship with onshore counterparts and partner them in the development of business
Required Qualifications
-Medical degree – MBBS/ BHMS/ BAMS/ BUMS/ BPT/ MPT or any other clinical/ medical education.
-Minimum 7 to 9years of experience in healthcare
-Should be actively associated with provider coding in current role a people manager role
-ICD 10 certified
-Good Analytical & comprehension skills.
-Good working knowledge of MS Excel/ MS PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
-Understanding of RCM process.
-Claims processing experience
-Candidates with additional certification in US healthcare will be given preference
