Job Description:
- Must have work Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and ICD-9-CM, advanced medical terminologies, pharmacology.
- Should have been followed accepted coding principles to assign all diagnoses Codes for inpatient or Out Patient records utilizing ICD-9 Text Book.
- Coding by using CPT, ICD-9 Cm codes, HCPCS codes based on HIPPA for procedures with appending appropriate modifiers.
- Extreme knowledge with regard to medical coding guidelines and coding techniques (ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS and DRGs.
- Should be able to assign ICD-9-CM or CPT-4 codes and sequence diagnosis and procedures per patient medical record.
- Should be able to review and abstract relevant clinical data/ medical records to select and sequence the appropriate ICD-9 CM diagnosis.
