Job Description for Medical Coding Manager:
The Sr. Manager / Manager Quality will be part of a team that provides coding and auditing to hospital and physician clients regarding: ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and CPT coding; billing and regulatory compliance; healthcare reimbursement methodologies; ICD-10-CM/PCS assessments and training;
Medical Coding Manager Responsibilities:
- Must be in a position to manage the overall Quality Function for Radiology Medical Coding Process.
- Analyze current situation, identify improvement opportunities and recommend measures to re-engineer processes (As-Is To be)
- Set up and manage transactional quality frameworks in a clinical context including quality assessment checklists (for quality assurance leaders), identify CTQ quality metrics, create periodic quality reports
- Be able to communicate fluently with US customers and answer their queries/concerns.
- Act as a change agent and work closely with the operations to optimize Customer value in multiple client engagement.
- Work with delivery and training functions to create feedback loops from quality assessment to training and operations management.
- Be able to manage coding quality process for large teams, ability to work with teams across specialties.
- Develop robust ideas and solutions which ensure continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to lead & motivate a team to achieve business unit goals
Necessary to Have
1. 7 or more years of experience in Radiology / IVR Proficiency in working on a variety of coding software and coding platforms
2. Basic computer skills; proficient in Word and Excel
3. Excellent organization skills necessary for detail-oriented and repetitive job duties
4. Work independently for building a team of Coders and help us for building a new set-up when required
