HCC Chart Coding Specialist
ICD-9 / ICD-10 certified
Job Responsibilities:
1.Able to effectively and accurately abstract ICD-9/ICD-10 codes for medical records, as identified in project guidelines.
2.Good understanding of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding guidelines
3.Thorough knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology
4.Must be able to work independently
5.Regularly and consistently meet quality and productivity standards required for project
6.Consistently adhere to companys HIPPA and PHI Guidelines
Job Requirements:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) required
Must have ICD-10 Certification or Proficiency
Minimum 2 years coding experience required
Successful completion of coding skills assessment
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data entry
