Cisco Hiring for Presales Systems engineer

Job Description:

1. Provides an architectural perspective across the Cisco product portfolio and can leverage technical specialization for specific opportunities.
2. Provide high-level and detailed consultative solutions, technical and sales support for selected major account opportunities. Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements.
3. Understand and Articulate Cisco’s Architectures and Services.
4. Create, present and document technical solutions. Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
5. Drive identified major account opportunities (i.e. technical consulting, upper level management presentations, Cisco technology solutions, product requirements, and design validation) while allowing local account team to maintain long-term ownership.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
7. Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member.
8. Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.
9. Ability to train and disseminate information within an Area or Operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

The Team is looking for a Technical seller who understands servers, storage, applications and networking. A bonus would be skillsets involving selling cloud infrastructure as a service, DRaaS, or SaaS.

The Role Requires Expertise and knowledge of:

10+ years experience in Networking Protocols, design and products: Ethernet, IP, switching, routing, spanning tree, OTV, LISP, FabricPath, etc.
Storage networking protocols: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS/CiFS, storage multi-pathing
X86 hardware solutions. Rack and blade server solutions from Cisco, HP, IBM, Dell
Firewalls/IPS, load balancers, WAN optimization,
VMware: ESXi, vSwitch operations, SRM (site recovery manager), View, vCloud
Cisco: Nexus, MDS, UCS, UCSD, SDN, ACI
